Auctioneers kept a close watch on the bidders at the 4-H auction at the Logan County Fair on Sunday afternoon. The auctioneers all volunteer their time and talents to the auction. Proceeds from the sale this year exceeded $60,000. All but 3 percent of that amount will go to the young people who participated in the auction. This year a wide variety of animals were on the block, plus some other 4-H projects. The auction is the last official 4-H event of the fair, and the crowds turned out to see how the kids would fare at this year's sale. Photo by Jan Youngquist (Click on image for larger version.) |
