"There's a superhero in all of us," according to Deb Stocker, University of Illinois Extension specialist in 4-H youth development. Friday, Feb. 14	Saturday, Feb. 15

We took our first picture of the snow pile 10 days ago. Since then it has done everything but shrink! It was windblown smooth in areas, received two coats of fresh snow, one of which was pretty significant, and now it has been added to by our reliable snowplower, Mr. Larson. So, maybe we started watching a bit too soon, but we're still holding out for better days. The weatherman predicted icy conditions for today, but also warming trends and some rain throughout the next few days. We can only hope.

Don't let anyone tell you we don't have good kids in Logan County, because here is living proof. From the fans that support them, to the cheerleaders who encourage them, to the players themselves, our Lincoln Railer Nation is really the best of the best. The team took two wins over the weekend and are ranked No. 3 in the state. But win, lose or draw, when the season comes to an end, we can easily say we couldn't be prouder of our team and our kids.
