Because of profits raised from their annual turkey dinner; the Zonta Club of Lincoln was able to make donations to the following community organizations this year: Girls on the Run, Habitat for Humanity and the Oasis. Our pile is still getting a little smaller every day. Right now it is small enough that we could go get the car and just drive over it until it is nothing but flat, black mush. Believe us when we say we are tempted to do just that so it will be gone, gone, gone!

In Lincoln this weekend, one of the most important things going on will actually take place in Peoria. The Lincoln High School varsity basketball team is going to go for the brass ring, the big trophy, the state championship. They have some tough opponents ahead of them, but we know they are up for the challenge. Jeff Benjamin and Debbie Olden will be bringing LDN readers full details of the games as well as photos, so be sure to check in on Saturday and Monday to get all the details.
