It was another fun and exciting night in front of the grandstand at the Logan County Fair on Wednesday. This time the event was the annual 4-H scrambles. The event begins with the chicken scramble for the little ones and works up to goats and calves for the older youth. In the chicken event, the kids don't keep the chicken, but rather are given gift bags for their participation. In the larger animals and older kids, the ones who catch a pig, goat, or calf must be, or become 4-H members, and must commit to raising the animal and showing it at the fair next year.

Nick Davis and Katie Buse are pleased to announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Katie is the daughter of Steve and Diane Buse of Lincoln. She is a graduate of Lincoln Community High School and has worked for the past nine years as a cosmetologist at Fox and Hounds in Bloomington.

Nick is a graduate of Mount Pulaski High School and the University of Illinois Springfield. He has been employed for six years as a Quality Control Chemist at Archer-Daniels-Midland in Decatur.

The couple is planning a September 4th wedding to be held at the Holy Family Church in Lincoln.
