In July, Logan County community leaders; local, regional and state emergency response agency chiefs; support agency and mass population representatives, continued planning for this year’s large Regional Homeland Security Exercise. The group will meet several more times before the October exercise that incorporates requesting outside resources and interacting with state.

At Charron's Auto Repair there is always something going on that is a bit out of the ordinary. Well known for their unique entries in the Lincoln Christmas Parades of the past, as well as their take on hand painted Christmas ornaments offered last year at the Pride of the Prairie event, the Charron's are at it again. This time they are creating items reminiscent of well-known animated movie characters. The bodies of these little guys are made of used gas tanks; the large round eyes are the rings from canning jars with little nuts from bolts glued around the outer edge. Some strategic paint and there you have a little character that many have come to love. If you'd like to own one of these little guys, they are for sale. Give Carol Charron a call!
