Sunday, in celebration of Mother's Day, many local families took advantage of an elegant and delicious buffet meal offered at Lincoln College by the local Kiwanis. Guests enjoyed an enormous buffet of main and side dishes plus a wide variety of salads. The dessert and bread bars and the ice cream station were also very popular attractions.

On Saturday St. Clara’s Manor hosted its Mother’s Day Celebration for residents and guests. With over 100 in attendance, residents and their families were treated to an afternoon of music and fun. Tim Searby and members of the Lincoln Area Music Society shared their talent with several songs. The theme this year was, ‘Mothers are the jewels of life.’ Family members picked a piece of jewelry that reminded them of their loved one. After sharing how it reminded them of their loved one, the piece of jewelry was given to the resident to keep. The celebration of Mother's also included sweet treats and ended with an enjoyable time of fellowship.
