The
2015 Photo of the Year is actually three photos.
Pictures taken in succession tell a story, real or
imagined. In this sequence, the real story is that
this sweet little girl was slightly intimidated by
the man in red. The imagined story is much more
complex. In the fictional scenario, Santa has
checked the list of good little girls, and he didn't
find her name. This was very upsetting to the child
as she knew she had been particularly good all year
long. However, when Santa checked again because we
all know he does "check twice" he found her name
right where it should be. With the assurance that
Santa would be coming on Christmas Eve, the tears
subsided, and happiness once again reigned! The
photos were taken at the Mount Pulaski Courthouse on
Saturday, December 5, 2015, by LDN Stringer Teena
Lowery.
