Lincoln Heritage Museum Director Tom McLaughlin poses for a photo with the museum's 10,000th visitor, Diane Tornow from Burbank, Illinois. Tornow came into the Museum Thursday afternoon with a tour group from the Chicago area. To mark the occasion, she was given a large basket of goodies that included several items from the Museum gift shop, and sweet treats from Russell Stover Candies.

On Thursday evening, Ray White Park was abuzz with activity as folks from throughout the town came to enjoy Community Night at Ray White Park. This year, the annual event featured the great hotdogs from the Lincoln Police Department, sweet treats from the City Clerk's Office, water games, a chance to climb on city vehicles; and a special attraction, laser tag. While kids and some adults enjoyed the games, others took advantage of the time to sit and enjoy a meal with old friends or make new friends. The event was also very well attended by city officials who did their best to spend time with every person there.
