On
Tuesday evening the city of Lincoln
aldermen approved by unanimous vote a
bid award to P.J. Hoerr for the
reconstruction of the former Jefferson
School into a new police station. The
bid came in at $2,813,000. City
Treasurer Chuck Conzo explained that the
city would finance the project using the
revenues from the utility tax to pay
either an "Alternative Revenue Bond," or
a "Debt Certificate" loan, therefore
having no impact on future property
taxes for Lincoln residents.
