On
Saturday, GiGi's Playhouse launched its
mobile workshop series at the Lincoln
Balloon Festival. Set up in a large tent
at the Logan County Airport, the program
offered fun, games, and education to
special needs children and their
families. Children played games, did
science experiments, arts and crafts,
and many other great activities. The
Playhouse event was sponsored locally by
the Down Syndrome Advocacy Group of
Central Illinois, founded by Natalie
Marquez of Lincoln.

The Logan County Airport was a bustle of
activity on Saturday with activities
going on beginning early in the day and
lingering into the night.
With what appeared to be an overwhelming
turnout, it was fun to see just how many
smiling faces could be found at the
Logan County Airport!
