On
Monday, the Lincoln Zonta Club celebrated International Women's Day
and Zonta Rose Day by recognizing four local women who are daily
making a difference in the community and setting an example for
others.
Melanie Goodgion accepted the honor on behalf of her recently
departed sister, Gail King. King spent many years bringing joy by
performing with Lincoln Community Theater and Lincoln Area Music
Society.
Kathie Williams, the owner of Small Town Creations, was honored.
Williams was recognized as a successful business owner and the
founder/organizer for the downtown Winter Wonderland event in
Lincoln.
Mary Anderson, a registered nurse from the Logan County Department
of Public Health, was recognized. Anderson has been in the frontline
trenches during the coronavirus pandemic this past year.
Lisa Bobb is a Logan County Victim Advocate. She was chosen because
of her support for victims of crime and their rights.
Thank you, ladies, for your efforts that enhance the lives of others
in some way.
