Monday
evening, December 5th, Lincoln Aldermen had the
opportunity to congratulate the newest firefighter in
the city department for a history-making achievement
during her weeks of training at the Illinois Fire
Service Institute Academy. Savannah Conrady was
recognized as the Fall 2022 winner of the Clark-Rutledge
Firemanship Award. The award recognizes excellence
during the academy training, and Conrady is the first
firefighter in the city fire department to achieve such
an honor.
Lincoln Daily News interviewed Conrady soon after she
earned the award. The interview article from November
4th, 2022, is reprinted in today's edition.
