While
total snowfall may prove to be less than the winter
storm the first part of the month, the snow that fell on
Thursday caused people more than its fair share of
difficulties.
With white-out and near-white-out conditions on the
interstate, travel was not recommended. The Illinois
State police reported numerous accidents and urged
motorists to stay off the road.
