Lincoln
Daily News puts hundreds of posts on its social media
page throughout the year. It is interesting to look back
over all those posts and see which ones got the most
attention from our followers when the year is over.
It is not unusual for us to have 10,000 or more post
engagements on a handfull of our posts. We more often
have engagements in the range of 5,000 to 10,000.
However, in 2021 we were blown away by the response to
Scotty Batin's big fish. When we put his pictures and
caption on our Facebook page, the post had a whopping
22,657 engagements.
Throughout our almost 22 year history, LDN has evolved
and grown with our readership. We have vowed to bring
readers the good, the bad, and the ugly in an unbiased
and professional manner. Always at the heart of our
mission as a news source has been to bring as much good
as possible to our readers. The fact that a good news
story about a Logan County resident got the most
attention in 2021 solidifies our belief that the mission
is worthwhile and what is wanted and needed in our
community.
