John's United Church of Christ hosted its 20th annual
Veteran Celebration on Sunday, November 13th, at the
Lincoln American Legion Post 263. Before sitting down to
an excellent meal catered by Nick Bay of Lincoln Land
Catering, veterans from each military branch were called
together for a group photo.

On
Friday, November 18th, the Logan County Board and
Lincoln Park District will host a ribbon-cutting
ceremony at the new ice skating rink in Scully Park in
Lincoln at 3:45 p.m.
The rink will then open for the first time at 4 p.m.
Tickets for skating may be purchased in advance online
via the Lincoln Park District website. Guests may bring
their skates, or skates will be available for rent. The
rink will also have some skate aids for those in the
learning stages.
Weather permitting, the ice skating rink will be open on
Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through January 15th.
