The Monday night meeting of the Lincoln
City Council marked the beginning of a new fiscal year.
With that new beginning came the swearing in of four
aldermen, one per ward for the city. Seated left to
right are the four aldermen who were sworn into their
terms of service to the city, and standing directly
behind them are their corresponding aldermen for wards
one through four.
Seated on the far left is Ward One Alderwoman Robin
McClellan who is new to the council, with Ward One
Alderman Steve Parrott standing directly behind her.
Next is Ward Two Alderman Tony Zurkammer who was elected
this year for a full term after being appointed in 2021
to replace Ron Fleshman. Behind Zurkammer is Ward Two
Alderman Sam Downs.
Mayor Tracy Welch is in the front row center.
Ward Three Alderman Kevin Bateman was re-elected for a
four-year term and behind him is Ward Three Alderwoman
Wanda Lee Rohlfs. In Ward Four, Alderman Craig Eimer is
also newly elected to the Lincoln City Council. Behind
Eimer is Ward Four Alderman Rick Hoefle.
In the back row from the left is Street Superintendent
Walt Landers, Waste Treatment Plant Manager Andrew Bowns,
City Attorney John Hoblit, City Clerk Peggy Bateman,
Building and Zoning Officer Wes Woodhall, City Treasurer
Chuck Conzo, Police Chief Joe Meister and Fire Chief Bob
Dunovsky.
Landers, Woodhall, Meister and Dunovsky were all sworn
into service to the city for the next 12 months with
unanimous support from the council. Bowns is contracted
through Veolia Water, Hoblit is hired by contract, and
Peggy Bateman and Conzo are elected by the citizens of
Lincoln.
