The 2024 Grand Champion Steer at
the Logan County Fair is AOB Crossbreed raised by
Paige Finchum.
The outstanding steer made the grade over several
tough competitors.
Congratulation to Paige, and look for more from the
4-H Beef show in a future edition of Lincoln Daily
News.

Veterans from all branches of the
Military gathered at the Logan County Fairgrounds on
Thursday evening for a yearly photograph at the
fair. They managed to maintain a smile through the
intense heat and humidity.
A flagpole and plaque were set up at the fairgrounds
to commemorate the late Joe Schaler. Schaler, the
founder of the Central Illinois Veterans Commission,
was a pillar of the veterans’ community in Logan
County. The flagpole and plaque can be seen on the
south side of the stage, just outside the fence
line.

It was brought to our attention
Friday morning that we somehow managed to omit the
slideshow of the 2024 Junior Miss Logan County
receiving her crown. Much thanks to the
faithful reader who gave us a quick call to let us
know.
