[JULY 18, 2003]  The host Lincoln Area Bronco All-Stars, sponsored by Triple T Promotional, advanced to the semifinals with a 9-7 victory over a McLean County team Thursday evening in PONY League tournament action.

Bryce Hunsley started the game and pitched four innings, allowing only three hits and two earned runs. Cole Brownfield pitched out of a jam in the fifth inning to keep Lincoln on top 8-6. Then Kyle Young got his second save in two opportunities in the tournament, giving up only one hit and one unearned run, while striking out three in two innings of relief work.

The offensive star of the game was Blair Bruns, who was 3-for-4, belting a three-run homer over the right-field fence. Later in the game, Bruns connected for a triple and double, scoring three runs.
