"We played very well against a team
that beat us in three games in our opener this season," said Lincoln
coach Mark Tippett. "I was pleased with our effort and intensity.
The fact we were able to beat them, after losing early in the
season, shows we are making progress and improvement. I feel we are
making good progress and have maintained a good attitude. The girls
have been working hard and it is starting to pay off."
Christy Raymer had 11 points, four digs
and one kill to lead the Lynx, now 4-10 for the season. "The one
kill Christy had was a big one as it was the deciding point in the
opening game," said Tippett.
Melissa
Brassard had 13 points and eight aces, Rosie Miller contributed five
points and 16 set assists, and Jessica Livezey had nine points and
six kills.
