MOUNT PULASKI -- Dwight E. Canada, 47, of Mount Pulaski, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at 10:38 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Mount Pulaski. Bill Shanle will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m.

Mr. Canada was a machinist at Mueller Co. in Decatur.

He was born Sept. 27, 1957, in Detroit, Mich., to Silas and Willie Woodall Canada. He married Patsy Call on Aug. 19, 1994, in Kansas.

He is survived by his wife, of Mount Pulaski; one son, Michael Soeder of Marion; one daughter, Christina Day of Clinton; four grandchildren; and one sister, Rebetta DeGraph of Detroit, Mich.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

LINCOLN -- Fay Lois Halsey, 95, of Lincoln, died Tuesday, May 3, 2005, at 12:40 p.m. at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount Pulaski.

Her funeral will be at noon Friday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Dan Wissmann officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.

She was a homemaker.

She was born May 21, 1909, at Strawsburg to Louis and Myrtle Baldwin Buesking. She married Curren W. Halsey on Nov. 15, 1930, in Lincoln. He died Jan. 5, 1996.

She is survived by one son-in-law, Homer Sheley of Lincoln; one grandson, Clint (and Pat) Sheley of Lincoln; one granddaughter, Marla Sheley of St. Louis, Mo.; one great-granddaughter, Candace (and Jeff) Company of Clinton; one great-grandson, Ryan Sheley of Lincoln; one great-great-grandson, Noah Company of Clinton; and one sister, Grace Struening of Macomb.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Gwen Sheley; three brothers; and one sister.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, to which memorials may be made.
