We can see the world
through the eyes of a child when we
look into the eyes of a child.
Thanks to Ann Siltman for this
wonderful picture of a young girl at
the Nate Stuckey benefit on
Saturday. LCHS
was busy all Saturday afternoon and
evening with activities for the
youngsters, bake sales, food and
auctions. All events were well
attended as the community came out
in support of Nate and his family.
More pictures of the event are below,
as well as pictures of other weekend
activities, in another picture-packed
Monday edition.

At 9:31 this morning a
passer-by reported seeing a structure fully
engulfed in flames near 300th Avenue and 2300 Street. Emden, New Holland,
Lincoln
Rural and San Jose fire departments responded. Delavan Fire
Department was
also called for mutual aid. This is the second structure that has
burned to
the ground in the western Logan County countryside in less than a
week. The Logan County Salvation Army has stepped in to help the
three-person family in their time of need. Rebecca Van Nydeggen, Salvation
Army
director, has advised that the organization has arranged for lodging for the
family at Best Western Lincoln Inn and that the Red Cross is
assisting with clothing. A bank account will be set up to aid the family. Further information will be posted as
received.
