Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Jacob of 604 Wyatt Ave. in Lincoln will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on Aug. 4.
Irma Griffin and Dallas Jacob were married Aug. 4, 1940, in St. Charles, Mo. Their attendants were Rollie and Lola Myers.
They are the parents of Gary (and Cathy) Jacob, Larry Jacob (deceased), Linda (and Tom) Hashman and Robert (and Dorinda) Jacob. They have also been blessed with six grandchildren, Kevin Hashman, Paula Crawford (and Steven), Coralee Stoltzenburg (and Brian), Dean Jacob, Sarah Jacob and Darren Jacob; and four great-grandchildren, Zachary Lee, Evan Crawford, Emma Stoltzenburg and Kate Stoltzenburg.
Dallas is a retired farmer of the San Jose area and retired from the Lincoln Park District. Irma, a homemaker, raised their children.
They will celebrate with a family dinner and would enjoy hearing from family and friends with a card shower.

The palace in the Riviera principality said Thursday that the two have set a date for a religious ceremony: July 9, 2011. A civil ceremony will take place the day earlier.

In this June 20, 1973, file photo, New York Yankees manager Ralph Houk relaxes with cigar in his office at Yankee Stadium following a victory in New York. He later managed the Boston Red Sox. Red Sox spokesman Dick Bresciani says Houk died in Winter Haven, Fla., on Wednesday afternoon. He was 90. The team heard from Houk's grandson, who lives in the Boston area.
