Tuesday evening, the Habitat for Humanity of Logan County board of directors recognized Joe Funk as the 2011 Outstanding Volunteer of the Year. Funk has invested the last several years in helping Habitat help families in need of safe, affordable housing. He also has devoted hours to building the annual playhouses the organization raffles off, helped with the building of the new Habitat warehouse and volunteers with the electronics recycling days. Pictured at right with board president Michael Erwin, Funk was given a plaque, and his name was added to the Habitat "Wall of Fame" plaque for 2011.
