Tuesday afternoon Mayor Keith Snyder paid a visit to the Foster Grandparent program at the Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois in Lincoln. He was there to sign and deliver a proclamation making April 9 National Service Worker Day in the city of Lincoln. After the signing he was joined by Foster Grandparent director Paula Gregg, on his right, and Jacob Sexton, executive director of Community Action. Also joining in the photo were two of the local foster grandmothers. The Foster Grandparent program provides volunteers in the public school setting to give love and one-on-one attention to children in the classroom.
