Mayor Keith Snyder (right) presents Lincoln alderman Tom O'Donohue with a plaque and T-shirt Monday night at the end of the Lincoln City Council meeting. Monday was O'Donohues last night with the council. However, O'Donohue will still be involved locally in economic development, business promotion and retention, and local tourism as the newly appointed chairman of the Logan County Alliance.

Levi Curry was chosen as the Lincoln Community High School LTEC/Kiwanis Student of the Month. Levi is an advanced welding student and was nominated by his instructor Arlyn Musselman. His plans are to pursue a career as a lineman with Ameren. Levi’s dream is to race his Sprint Car on the weekends and he was interested in welding so he could make modifications to his sprint cars. He has been racing since the age of four. He was chosen as the Rookie of the Year in 2014. He races in Illinois, Indiana and Iowa. His parents are Rob Curry and Lisa Bergschneider.

Tracy Curry of Lincoln has been named the December employee of the month at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. Curry began her career at ALMH in high school working part-time in the medical records department and has now worked as a Radiologic Technologist at ALMH for 10 years.
