Tuesday evening the Lincoln City Council agreed to add to the Monday night consent agenda the implementation of the Fast-Track Demolition Plan for this property located at 412 Oglesby Street in Lincoln. Building and Safety officer John Lebegue said the building is abandoned, and he has had no luck trying to work with the property owner to get it cleaned up. With the Fast-Track Demolition Plan, the building will more than likely be demolished within the next 60 days.

The city of Lincoln is now one step closer to seeing the construction of the new Lincoln Grand 8 Theater. Tuesday evening in a special adjourned voting session the Lincoln City Council approved an application from David Lanterman for Tax Increment Funding for the project. They also approved issuing a $2.3 million bond for the project. Lanterman hopes to have the theater open in the early part of 2015.
