On
Thursday evening the exhibit barn at the
Logan County Fairground was packed with
merchandise being offered by the Humane
Society of Logan County as part of this
weekend's Route 66 Garage Sales event.
Shoppers took advantage of preview night
to grab up items before the true frenzy
begins on Friday morning. But fear not,
even though shoppers were plentiful
Thursday evening, there will still be
lots of great bargains at the sale for
the rest of the weekend.
The HSLC is one of more than 70 garage
sales that will be going on in Lincoln
and other areas in the county today
through Sunday. Maps are available in
several local businesses as well as at a
number of the garage sale sites. Grab a
map and have fun, but do pay attention
to what the maps say. Some sales are
being offered on Friday and Saturday
only, or Saturday only, or Saturday and
Sunday only. So, if the location is not
open today, it probably will be
tomorrow.

Logan County Arts June exhibit,
Mitch Douglas’ photograph “The Faces of
Nature” turns a winter woodland into an intriguing artwork,
complete with wood sprites and elegant arabesques. Douglas’
nature-inspired
work, as well as that of other local artists, will be on
view at the Lincoln Art Institute from June 14 to July 7,
2018. |
