The National Weather Service in Lincoln has posted a new watch for Logan County for severe weather until 10pm tonight.

Just in time for the Route 66 Weekend in Lincoln, Brad Matthews and his crew were out on Tuesday to put the cover on the Railsplitter Covered Wagon. The worlds largest covered wagon is a Route 66 attraction located in the grassy area in front of the Best Western Motel on Lincoln Parkway near Fifth Street. This weekend it will be a focal point of the Illinois Route 66 Motor Tour as it is one of three 'passport' stops as the tour leaves town on Sunday morning. The other passport stops in Lincoln will be the Tropics Sign and the Mill on Route 66 Museum.
