LDN -- Top Stories

This past weekend Lincoln was a busy, busy town as the annual Pigs and Swigs Festival took place in the heart of the city. In so many ways, it was a perfect weekend. The weather was cooperative with no extreme heat as in years past, or heavy rains and winds common to this year. Guests enjoyed time in a number of locations from watching the barbecue competitions, to shopping the Oasis Vendor Fair on Saturday, to evenings spent enjoying the talents of many homebrewers set up at the Swigs side of the festival with their craft beers and wine selections, to enjoying an evening on the Logan County Courthouse lawn watching the Dock Dogs.

The highlight of the weekend though was the crowning of a new Up in Smoke BBQ Champion. Congratulations to ‘The BBQ Bus’ as this year’s KCBS sanctioned Pro-Division BBQ competition winner with a total of 682.8576 points overall.
