The Friday pink shirt pictures include the fine folks from the Logan County Department of Public Health, the Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society, Lincoln Logan May Enterprise Insurance Agency, Logan County Courthouse staff, Logan County Title Company and the Logan County Tourism Bureau.

Some will have figured out already that all six of these pictures share one common factor - each business or entity contains the work Logan within its name.

While they all share a common word, the role these people play within our community is very unique. The same is true with breast cancer. Though we almost always first hear the words breast cancer, that is a very generic term. Breast cancer is as different as people and jobs in these photos. Each diagnosis comes with its own set of symptoms and methods of treatment. Please don't ever assume that you are safe from cancer if you feel no lump. Be aware of your body and note changes of all kinds. While no one wants to become paranoid, being vigilant is wise.

Bill Walter inspects copper on the Logan County Courthouse dome.

By mid-August when these photos were taken, Lincoln had not seen much rain for quite a while. Yet, there was water pooling on the courthouse roof.

The water damage around the Logan County Courthouse dome has evolved into a fairly dangerous situation and could become even more critical during the freeze and thaw cycle of the coming winter. This week Logan County Board members discussed what to do to save the dome. The biggest problem is funding the project. The board needs for the March referendum concerning a Public Facilities Sales Tax to pass in order to pay for the project.
