The national championship will host
approximately 120 student-athletes plus coaching staff and fans from
NCCAA colleges and universities across the country. LCC's volleyball
team will be among the participating teams volleying for the 2003
national title.
"We're excited to hold the NCCAA
volleyball championship in Lincoln," said Dan Wood, executive
director of NCCAA. "Lincoln Christian's commitment to this
tournament and the assistance of John Searby and Kevin Crawford of
the Department of Physical Education in making this partnership a
reality is greatly appreciated. We look forward to a successful
event!"
The events will begin with a Christian
service project on Wednesday, Nov. 5. NCCAA student-athletes will
provide a free volleyball clinic for students at the Lutheran
school. "This is an outstanding way in which LCC and the NCCAA can
give back to the Lincoln community. We look forward to impacting the
students there during this clinic," stated Kevin Crawford, LCC
volleyball coach.
