IVCC won the first two sets against the
Lynx Thursday by scores of 30-19 and 30-18. Lincoln College
then took the third set by a 30-24 margin before IVCC took the match
in the fourth set 30-24.
"We didn't pass the ball well at all in
the first two sets," said coach Mark Tippett. "We finally got
it going in the third set, and as a result we were able to win the
set. It was good to see us bounce back and play well after not
playing well in the first two sets. Hopefully we will be able to
build off of our finish and get things going in the right
direction."
Kristin
Majka led the Lynx with nine points, two aces and seven kills.
Jessica Livezey had six points, four kills and four blocks, while
Samantha McCoy came up with 12 digs.
