Irene Booth

Jessie Irene Booth, 91, of Minier died Thursday (Sept. 11, 2003) at 8:21 a.m. at Eureka Community Hospital in Eureka.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Armington Christian Church. Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with Ed Loyd officiating.

Burial will be in Minier Cemetery.

Quiram Funeral Home of Atlanta is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Booth and her husband were lifetime farmers in the Minier area. She had also been employed by the Woolen Mill store in Bloomington.

She was born Dec. 11, 1911, in Wayne County to Loren and Mabel Emmons Orr. She married Kenneth W. Booth on June 24, 1933, in rural Armington.

Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Kathryn (and Kenneth) Frus of Washington and Martha (and Larry) Paustian of East Peoria; and three grandchildren, Carolyn Frus, Janet Frus and Ashley Paustian.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Allene Reid.

Mrs. Booth was active in the Armington Woman's Club and Tazewell County Home Bureau. She was also was a 4-H leader and Sunday school teacher.

Memorials may be made to the Armington Christian Church or the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka.
