[SEPT. 20, 2003]

LDN: Last week you talked about a lack of focus or concentration. Do you think it was a little bit better this week?

Coach Oaks: I think we played more focused and more assignment football this week than we had against Jacksonville. It's nice to win, but there is still always room for improvement... I thought our focus was better.

I didn't think our hitting or tackling was real strong in the first half, but I thought we picked it up in the second half. We are making some strides -- not as quick as I would like them to be sometimes -- but I think we are making some strides.

LDN: You have SHG next week -- a pretty good ball club from what I hear.

Coach Oaks: I felt coming in that they might have the best team they have had there in a long time. Their first three game scores kind of indicate that might be true.

LDN: How do you match up against them?

Coach Oaks: In those kinds of games, just go ahead and try to take care of ourselves and work on some improvements, hopefully execute. We will look and see exactly what they are doing offensively and try to come up with a game plan against it.

The key for us is to try to get better each week regardless of who we are playing, and certainly against somebody like them it is the biggest measuring stick you can get.

So, we will go out there and see if we can do better than we have the last few years against them.
