MASON CITY -- Verna D. Rogier,
95, of Mason City, died Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at 7:40 p.m.
at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m.
Saturday at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City, with the Rev.
Randall Paine officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m.
Burial will be in Mason City
Cemetery.
Mrs. Rogier was a nurse for
several years.
She was born Jan. 11, 1910, in
Passaic, N.J., to Howard and Floyce Dillingham Smith. She
married Dr. Jean F. Rogier on June 12, 1937, in Darien, Conn.
He died Dec. 23, 1998.
She is survived by one son,
Robert H. Rogier of Windhoek, Namibia; one daughter, Suzanne
(and Tom) Lowers of Easton; two grandsons; and two
granddaughters.
She was also preceded in death
by her parents and one aunt.
She was a member of the First
United Presbyterian Church of Mason City and Daughters of the
American Revolution.
