WL-B 7th-grade basketball team trotting over to Clinton for state       Send a link to a friend

[FEB. 3, 2005]  Coach Gary Eimer is packing his Wolverines this weekend and heading to state following a 34-point slam over Springfield Calvary, with the final score 59-25. Brian Brackney assists the team.

On Saturday the West Lincoln-Broadwell team will play Decatur Our Lady of Lourdes at 4:30 p.m. in first-round Class AA boys basketball state championship playoffs at Clinton High School.

A win sends them back to Clinton on Monday for a 6:45 p.m. game. In the quarterfinal round they would face the winner of the Champaign Holy Cross (15-4), Findlay Okaw Valley (16-7) game.

West Lincoln-Broadwell's record now stands at 19-1. Decatur Our Lady of Lourdes is at 14-9.
