The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center also
is open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.
Friends of The Oasis members receive a
bimonthly newsletter by mail and reduced rates for classes and

St.
Clara's Manor to sponsor bingo
St. Clara's is sponsoring the bingo
games that will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at the senior center. Bring
a friend and come join the fun!
"Leaving
a Trace"
Rebecca Johnson and the Memories
class will present the program "Leaving a Trace" at 6:30 p.m.
Thursday at the senior center. Come and join us for an evening of
fun, reminiscing, story sharing and tips on how to capture your
memories. No reservations needed.
Glaucoma
screening
The Oasis is taking appointments for
free glaucoma screening. Appointment times are available for Friday
between 1 and 3 p.m. This free service is provided by Dr. Sandra
Pelfrey-Jones of Baller Eye Care.

Tuesday
lunch
The 11:30 a.m. lunch on March 1 will
feature chicken and dumplings, vegetables, bread and butter,
dessert, and a drink for only $3.75. Ticket purchase deadline is
noon Monday.
February
birthday party
Birthday time! Monday at 1:30 p.m.
it's time to celebrate your February birthday with us. There will be
games, prizes, entertainment, and cake and ice cream. Come join the
fun and bring a friend.
Card
winners announced
Mable Hoagland was the weekday
winner for pinochle. The weekend pinochle winners were Wilbur
Wilmert and Eileen Kohl. Dorothy Oltmanns and Betty Burger won five
in one.
