LINCOLN -- Beulah M. Reed, 82,
formerly of Creve Coeur, died Thursday, March 17, 2005, at
7:15 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor.
Her funeral will be at 10:30
a.m. Saturday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln, with the Rev. Blair Kasfeldt officiating. Visitation
will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Laurel Hill
Cemetery, Havana, at a later date.
She worked as a secretary at
Caterpillar Tractor Company for 33 years.
She was born Feb. 9, 1923, at
Havana, to Bert and Belva Sigley Travis.
She is survived by two
brothers, Wilbur G. Travis of Belleville, Ohio, and Richard
(and Connie) Travis of Chestnut, and by several nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by
two brothers, Delbert and Donald, and one sister, Carol
Fischer.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
She was a member of the
Caterpillar Retirees Club in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the
American Diabetes Association.

MASON CITY -- Everett Lee
Crawford, 70, formerly of Mason City, died Tuesday, March 15,
2005, at 11:30 p.m. at VA Illiana Healthcare System in
Danville.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m.
Saturday at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City, with the Rev.
Robert Paddack officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior
to the service.
Burial, with military honors,
will be in Mason City Cemetery.
Mr. Crawford was a barber.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of
the Korean War.
He was born Sept. 25, 1934, in
Green Valley to Harlan E. and Zelma Griffin Crawford.
He is survived by three sons,
Randall L. Crawford of Marrett Island, Fla., Steven Crawford
of Decatur and David (and Manuella) Crawford of Germany; one
daughter, Jody (and Dave) Fitzsimmons of Mattoon; two
brothers, Gene (and Diane) Crawford of Eyota, Minn., and Joe
David Crawford of Texas; and one sister, Wanda (and Donald)
Beebe of Mason City.
One sister preceded him in
death.
He was a member of the First
Christian Church of Mason City and American
Legion Jackson Keen Post 496.
Memorial contributions may be

LINCOLN -- Pauline J. Aper,
84, of Lincoln, formerly of Atlanta, died Tuesday, March 15,
2005, at 2:07 p.m. at St. John's Hospital in Springfield.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m.
Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hartsburg, with the
Rev. David Russell officiating. Visitation will be one hour
prior to the service.
Burial will be in New Union
Cemetery.
Quiram Funeral Home in Atlanta
is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Aper worked at the former
Stetson China Factory in Lincoln for several years. She was
later employed at Eureka-Williams in Bloomington and was also
in real estate sales until her retirement.
She was born Oct. 20, 1920, at
Belleville to Harvey and Katherine Goeckel McCain. She married
Bernhard J. "Ben" Aper on March 3, 1940, at Lincoln. He died
June 26, 1991.
She is survived by one
daughter, Norma J. Finn of Kingwood, Texas; one son, Harvey H.
Aper of Petersburg; six grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; and one sister, Gladys Boyd of Lincoln.
She was also preceded in death
by one sister and three brothers.
She was a member of St. John's
Lutheran Church in Hartsburg.
Memorial contributions may be
made to her church or a charity of the donor's choice.

LINCOLN -- Mary A. Werth, 88,
a resident of the Christian Village Nursing Home, died Sunday,
March 13, 2005, at 11:40 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital.
A memorial service will be at
3 p.m. Friday at Faith Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Mark
Peters officiating. There will be no visitation.
Committal of ashes at New
Union Cemetery will be private, for family only.
Holland and Barry Funeral Home
is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Werth was a registered
nurse.
She served as a U.S. Army
nurse at Fort McClellan in Alabama.
She was born April 8, 1916, in
Logan County to Herman and Georgia Shay Heinzel. She married
Donald F. Werth on May 10, 1941, at Anniston, Calhoun County,
Ala. He died March 22, 1993.
She is survived by four sons,
Thomas Werth of Yalaha, Fla., Fredric Werth of Mount Pulaski,
Franklin Werth of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mark Werth of Lincoln;
nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister,
Gretchen Neville of Lincoln.
She was also preceded in death
by one sister, Ede Lodl.
She graduated from nursing
school at Brokaw Hospital, Normal.
She was a member of Faith
Lutheran Church, to which memorials may be made.

LINCOLN -- Elizabeth Schaub,
90, died Sunday, March 13, 2005, at 10:50 a.m. at Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m.
Saturday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln,
with the Rev. Julie Azbell officiating. Visitation will be one
hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Zion
Cemetery.
Mrs. Schaub worked at the
Lincoln Garment Factory for 60 years.
She was born Oct. 16, 1914, at
West Salem to William and Roxanne Walker Elkins. She married
Fred Schaub on May 30, 1930. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by one
daughter, Donna Holton of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Jim
(and Cindy) Holton of New Holland, Kim (and Jay) Carlson of
Lincoln and Tim Holton of Lincoln; one great-grandson, Jason;
three brothers, Jim Elkins of Downey, Calif., Bailey (and
Gladys) Elkins of Lawndale and Jack (and Ann) Elkins of Port
St. Locie, Fla.; and two sisters, Bertha Kraus of Phoenix,
Ariz., and Geri (and Wayne) Lowman of Cape Cora, Fla.
She was also preceded in death
by one daughter, Delima; two great-grandsons, Jacob and Joshua
Carlson; two brothers, Burl and Doc Elkins; three sisters,
Beulah Sutherland, Dale Fields and Lucille Buesking; her
parents and her stepmother, Catherine Elkins; and a
son-in-law, James N. Holton Sr.
She was a 30-year member of
Moose Lodge Auxiliary.
She loved to quilt and sew.
Memorials may be made to the
American Heart Association.
