Railsplitter Veterinary Wellness Center, 1120 Keokuk in Lincoln,
hosted a Business After Hours last night for the chamber of
commerce. The new
state-of-the-art animal health care center is having an open
house and animal health fair today from 4 to 8 p.m., and the community is invited to come out
and see the new facility in person.

This
undated photo provided Thursday by the Riverside, Ill., Police Department
shows Dominick Harvey, 43, of Berwyn in a self-portrait he left behind on
a stolen laptop. Riverside police arrested Harvey on Wednesday after they
circulated this photo to the public from the recovered laptop. Police
allege he entered two Riverside homes in August and stole cash, jewelry and
computer equipment. Harvey confessed, saying he knew police were looking for him
when he saw his picture on the news.

exhibition room at the national museum in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
Looters stormed the museum during the country's
bloody political crisis earlier this year, plundering nearly $8.5
million worth of art including the institution's entire gold
collection. Five months later, the museum's gates still open and
close at the posted hours, but empty display cases gather dust.
