Tuesday
evening, Mayor Keith Snyder showed the city council a drawing
that indicated the city street department buildings
on Third Street are encroaching on city rights of way. Though it is all
city property, the drawing showed that when the buildings are
torn down for soil remediation, they cannot be
built back within the actual borders of the property lines. The bottom line
is that the city is going to have to find a new
permanent location for the street and alley facilities.

It
wasn't all that long ago that the streets of Mount Pulaski looked
like this. It was the site of the old Deron Powell
Insurance Agency office. When the building collapsed last
year, Powell was forced to take up a temporary office space
while his new building was being built. Today the scene
has changed dramatically, and on April 27, Powell will
cut the ribbon on a new office building.

This file photo of an artist rendering shows
a drawing of the proposed Industrial Light & Magic campus. Lucasfilm Ltd., the force behind the
"Star Wars" movies,
said it has abandoned plans to build a big digital production
studio on historic farmland in northern California, citing
opposition from neighbors worried about the environmental impact. The
company owned by filmmaker George Lucas said it plans to
construct new facilities elsewhere.
Get support--from the lactation consultant, the nurses,
or friends and family members who have breastfed before
and can advise you on how to go about it. What you need
to learn is how to position the baby, how to help baby
get a proper latch onto the breast and what is a proper
latch. Although this is described quite well in books,
it is not the same as having someone experienced in the
art of breastfeeding show you how it is done.
For more information,
contact the breastfeeding peer counselor at the Logan
County Department of Public Health, 217-735-2317, ext.
