On Wednesday,
Cindy Kirberg, shelter manager, and Lynn White,
board member, took two Humane Society of Logan
County shelter dogs and
visited the residents at St. Clara's Manor in
Lincoln. Gus, a male boxer-Labrador retriever,
and Emma, a 3 1/2-month-old female Brittany
spaniel-terrier puppy, spent time meeting and
playing with the residents. They also visited in
the rooms of residents who were not able to
attend the main visit. The dogs enjoyed being
petted and played with. The shelter staff
enjoyed meeting everyone. Best of all, the
residents thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and
can't wait for the HSLC to schedule a return
visit.
