Thursday night the theme of the Lincoln Christmas Parade was centered around the 100th anniversary of the Lincoln post office. Among the many postal workers involved in the parade was postal clerk Sharon Tibbs. Those of us who visit the post office on a regular basis are accustomed to seeing Tibbs behind the counter, patiently waiting on customers even in the busiest of seasons. Tibbs has been working for the Lincoln post office for 40 years, and we want to thank her for her dedicated service. Be sure to check out the parade photo magazine LDN posted Friday afternoon. It's filled with pictures taken by Nila Smith, Jan Youngquist and our special photographer Teena Lowery, who by the way is also an employee of the Lincoln post office. Photo by Teena Lowery |
