Friday afternoon the best spellers in District 27 schools gathered at the junior high to compete for the title of the best in the district. Two students from Northwest School won out over all the rest. Pictured to the right of District 27 librarian Elaine Knight is the champion, fourth-grader Katherine Lewis.
