The members of the
Oasis Senior Center board of directors recently took a moment for a group photo
at their temporary home at St. John United Church of Christ. This
week the board made vital decisions about the future of the senior center. Because repair and restoration of the original burn site would be a daunting
undertaking financially as well as a lengthy process, the board has voted to
purchase Rusty's Clubhouse on the city's west side.

This
frame grab from a video taken by Dave Hall shows a Boy Scout leader looking
over an ancient Utah desert rock formation, which he later knocked down, at
Goblin Valley State Park. Authorities are mulling whether to press charges against
him and
the two men who cheered him on. They posted video of the incident
online.
