Students
representing the third and fourth grades of Mount
Pulaski Grade School, and junior high students from
Zion Lutheran School, gathered Thursday evening to
take part in "A Tribute of Remembrance to President
Abraham Lincoln." Students read "The Gettysburg
Address" as well as the Walt Whitman poems "Hush'd
Be The Camps Today", "This Dust Was Once The Man"
and "O Captain! My Captain!" Barbara Stroud-Borth
also read excerpts from "When Lilacs Last In The
Dooryard Bloomed." The event was put on by the Mount
Pulaski Courthouse Foundation.
