Monday
evening was a solemn occasion in Lincoln City Hall
as the City Council mourned the loss of Mayor Scott
Cooper. The front desk where Cooper presided over
each meeting of the council was draped in black with
a photo and a wreath placed beside the mayor's
gavel. In honor and respect for Mayor Cooper, City
Hall will be closed today so staff may attend the
funeral. The funeral will be held at Jefferson
Street Church in Lincoln at 10 a.m. this morning.
