On
Thursday evening, several folks gathered at the
Logan County Airport for the official kick-off of
the 2015 Lincoln Balloon Festival. The evening at
the airport, which was open to the public included a
ribbon cut hosted by the Lincoln/Logan County
Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, the Logan County
Alliance, and the Logan County Tourism Bureau, along
with several members of the Lincoln City Council and
administration. In addition to kicking off the
festival, there was also a special celebration for
the 162nd birthdate of the city of Lincoln. There
were a half-dozen hot air balloons on hand including
this year's special shape, Darth Vader. Members of
the local media were treated to a short flight over
the Logan County Airport.
