							The
Logan County Zoning Board of Appeals held its final
hearing on the proposed Relight Wind Farm on
Thursday night. When the subject came to a vote
after lengthy deliberation, the ZBA was split
two-two as to whether to recommend a conditional use
permit for the wind farm. The failure to gain a
minimum three votes to approve leads to a "No
recommendation." The matter now moves forward for
decision by the local legislative body, the Logan
County Board. The Board will consider the
recommendations of both the Regional Planning
Commission, who oversee land use, and the Zoning
Board of Appeals, who weigh if a request fits into
zoning for the area and take public opinion into
consideration. The board will also hear the request
directly from Relight. The topic is expected to be
discussed at the Board’s January 15th Workshop
							session.
