Joe
Schaler of the Logan County Veterans Assistance
Commission presented the sign that will hang over
the new VAC office to the Logan County Board on
Tuesday evening. The office will be located in room
17 in the Logan County Courthouse and is expected to
open right after the Fourth of July. The VAC is
currently seeking a qualified veteran to serve as
the Superintendent of the commission.

Wednesday morning, a
severe storm passed through Logan County bringing wind,
rain, thunder and lightning, and hail. In Elkhart, this
lovely tree was split almost in half as one large section
separated from the trunk and fell to the ground.
