Then
and now
- In June of 2014 local media were
offered the opportunity to take a tour
of the exterior and interior of the
Lincoln Depot. The sights inside were a
mess, and it would have caused anyone to
wonder if the old rail station could
ever be restored to anything even close
to its former state. But on Tuesday it
was clear that the station is now once
again a viable and valuable asset to the
city of Lincoln. The site is now not
only a reflection of its former self but
also a "new and improved" version with
great potential for the future. The
differences are notable even before one
enters the building, as is illustrated
by these photos comparing the front
entry of the building in 2014 versus
what it looks like today.
